Front Range Staffing is seeking an experienced Fabrication Shop Manager for a growing manufacturing company in Colorado Springs.

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour DOE
Position: Full-Time / Temp-to-Hire

This position is ideal for an experienced manufacturing or fabrication professional with proven leadership experience and a strong hands-on shop background. The Shop Manager will oversee employees, production workflow, shop organization, and daily operations while coordinating between company leadership, engineering, and production.

An ideal candidate for this position would possess the following skills and experience:

• Previous management or supervisory experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, production, mechanical, or industrial shop environment

• Strong hands-on shop and mechanical background with the technical knowledge to effectively supervise experienced production employees

• Experience managing employees, workloads, production priorities, productivity, quality, and daily shop operations

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to provide direction, establish expectations, and hold employees accountable

• Ability to coordinate workflow and communication between company leadership, engineering, and production personnel

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and production documentation

• Working knowledge of fabrication and general shop operations, including cutting, drilling, assembly, table saws, and other shop equipment

• General knowledge of welding processes and the ability to oversee welding-related work

• Ability to assign work, monitor production progress, troubleshoot issues, and adjust priorities to meet deadlines

• Experience maintaining an organized, efficient, safe, and professional shop environment, including proper care and organization of tools and equipment

• Ability to train, coach, discipline, and manage employee performance and behavioral issues professionally

• Comfortable participating in hiring and employee termination decisions when necessary

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to independently take ownership of shop operations

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with employees, engineers, and company leadership

• Dependable, organized, professional, and capable of establishing structure and accountability in a growing manufacturing environment

• Strong understanding of workplace safety and the ability to ensure employees follow established safety procedures
